Rector of the Islamic University of Kyrgyzstan Abdishukur Narmatov Awarded the Title “Honorary Citizen of Batken Region” and the “Bereshen” Medal

Rector of the Islamic University of Kyrgyzstan Abdishukur Narmatov Awarded the Title “Honorary Citizen of Batken Region” and the “Bereshen” Medal Today, September 24, the Batken Region hosted a special outreach gathering entitled “My Religion is Islam, My Country is Kyrgyzstan,” organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan. During the event, Professor Abdishukur Islamovich Narmatov, Rector of the Islamic University of Kyrgyzstan and a native of the Batken Region, was awarded the honorary title “Honorary Citizen of Batken Region” in recognition of his outstanding contribution to strengthening unity and friendship among the people, his dedicated fulfillment of civic responsibilities, and his many years of fruitful service. The honorary title was presented by Mamyrzhan Toychievich Rakhimov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Batken Region. In addition, in recognition of his many years of dedicated work in religious education, charitable activities, and public service, Abdishukur Narmatov was awarded the “Bereshen” Medal by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan. Abdishukur Narmatov has made a significant contribution to his people, his native region, and the country as a whole. As a native of the Batken Region, he has consistently devoted special attention to the social and spiritual development of his homeland. Of particular importance was his spiritual and material support for the residents of the region during the Batken events, as well as his initiatives to assist those in need, demonstrating his strong civic responsibility and commitment to his homeland. Through his initiatives and support, a significant contribution has also been made to the construction of several mosques and madrasas across the Batken Region, as well as to the establishment of feldsher-midwife health centers (FAPs) aimed at improving access to healthcare for local communities. These awards represent high recognition of Abdishukur Narmatov’s many years of dedicated service in the fields of religious education, academic development, charity, and the promotion of social harmony.
