Teachers of the Kyrgyzstan Islamic University actively participated in the international scientific and practical conference titled “The Role of Interreligious Dialogue in the Patriotic Education of Youth,” which was held at the Bolgar Islamic Academy in the Republic of Tatarstan. The conference was organized to discuss issues related to the formation of patriotic awareness among young people, the preservation of national and spiritual values, and the development of interreligious dialogue. Representatives of government institutions of the Russian Federation, renowned scholars, theologians, religious studies experts, historians, public figures, students, and lecturers from both religious and secular higher educational institutions took part in the event. Representing the Kyrgyzstan Islamic University at the conference were Shamshidin Iriskulovich Mamatkulov, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Ustaz Ravshanbek Akimbay uulu, and Masylbaev Nurlanbek Raiymkulovich, who presented insightful scientific reports. Shamshidin Iriskulovich Mamatkulov delivered a presentation titled “Civic Identity, Religious and National Values: The Issue of Preserving Identity in the Era of Globalization.” In his speech, he emphasized the importance of preserving national identity, cultural heritage, and spiritual values in the context of globalization. He also highlighted the role of education, family, and social institutions in strengthening civic identity. Ustaz Ravshanbek Akimbay uulu presented a report titled “Interreligious Dialogue as a Tool for Forming Youth Patriotism: Islamic Traditions in the Context of Kyrgyz Identity.” In his presentation, he stressed the importance of strengthening interreligious harmony, preserving national unity, and providing proper spiritual and moral education for youth. He particularly noted the close connection between Islamic traditions and the history and culture of the Kyrgyz people. Masylbaev Nurlanbek Raiymkulovich delivered a presentation titled “Preserving the National Code: Civic Identification, Traditional Values, and Religion in Kyrgyz Society,” in which he analyzed the concept of the national code, its significance, and its role in modern society. He noted that preserving national consciousness, traditional values, and spiritual heritage is one of the key factors for sustainable social development. During the conference, participants exchanged academic views and discussed important issues related to interreligious dialogue, patriotic education, cultural identity, and youth policy.
