A special fire safety briefing was conducted for the students of Kyrgyzstan Islamic University (KIU) by representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic. The main purpose of the event was to increase students’ and faculty members’ awareness of fire safety, develop proper emergency response skills, and strengthen the culture of safety. The briefing was actively attended by Bakyt Nyyazov, Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs, university faculty members, and students. During the meeting, participants received detailed information on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, first response actions in case of fire, proper use of firefighting equipment, and compliance with safety regulations. The briefing was conducted by representatives of the Firefighting and Fire Prevention Department of the Sverdlov District under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic — Captain Aidar Samatbek uulu and Captain Yrysbek Murataly uulu. They provided examples of common dangerous situations that may occur in everyday life and educational institutions, emphasizing the importance of staying calm and responding quickly during emergencies. In addition, practical recommendations on fire safety were given, and the participants were shown how to properly use firefighting equipment. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and received detailed answers from the specialists. The event was organized at a high level and proved to be informative and beneficial for all participants. The university administration noted that such preventive meetings play an important role in developing a culture of safety among students and in preventing emergency situations.
